219 East LLC

Implementation

From idea to MVP, through launch, and into iteration

219 East LLC leads the end-to-end build: discovery, design, the application itself, deployment, and the release cycles that follow launch. Two client products show the full path. Both are live today.

How a build runs

Each phase ends with something the client can see and approve before the next one starts.

  1. DiscoveryThe real problem, the users, and a scope document with an explicit list of what is intentionally left out.
  2. DesignScreens, user flows, and the data model validated with the client before code is written.
  3. BuildShort release cycles with visible progress, milestone walkthroughs, and a change log that classifies every request by its effect on scope.
  4. DeployContainerized from the first commit and hosted on servers the practice operates, with a reverse proxy and TLS.
  5. Launch and iteratePhased releases, structured intake for bugs and feature requests, and continued work driven by what real users report.

Client work

Both products started as a founder's idea and are in production.

ModProjectPro

modprojectpro.com

Quoting software for low-voltage contractors: networking, fire alarm, access control, and surveillance.

Low-voltage technicians build quotes by hand after a site visit, from photos, notes, and memory, and items get missed. The MVP focused on the single highest-value workflow: describe the job, have an expert system flag what was missed, and produce the quote.

MVP

  • Waitlist site launched first, in December 2025, while the product was designed
  • Mobile-first progressive web app for technicians working in the field
  • Photo capture with annotations from the camera or gallery
  • Expert system that reads a project description and suggests line items the technician may have missed, across six low-voltage trade categories
  • Quote builder with PDF and DOCX export, plus client and project management

Launch and iteration

  • Deployed to production on a self-hosted server with Docker, Nginx, and TLS
  • Discovery interviews with low-voltage estimators to decide what the product builds next
  • Improved scoring and ranking of the expert system's suggestions
  • Site Walk voice capture, released to production in October 2026
  • Ongoing framework upgrades and security hardening between feature releases

Beyond the code

Branding, logo, design system, and hosting, delivered alongside the application.

I came in with an idea and Duane delivered everything, branding, logo, and a fully built MVP. Now I have a real product that anchors conversations about scaling into a larger platform.Brent, Entrepreneur

InterpAssist

interpassist.com

A two-sided marketplace connecting clients with professional interpreters for video, phone, and in-person sessions.

Clients struggle to find qualified interpreters on short notice, and interpreters lack a professional platform for bookings, payments, and reviews. A marketplace needs both sides to trust it from the first booking, so onboarding, payments, and reviews were treated as core product.

MVP

  • Full design phase of 63 screens before development began in January 2026
  • Separate onboarding for clients and interpreters, with interpreter profiles and languages
  • Search and booking flows for video, phone, and in-person sessions
  • Messaging between clients and interpreters, and two-sided reviews
  • Interpreter wallet with in-app Stripe Connect onboarding for payouts
  • Push notifications and an administration console

Launch and iteration

  • Launched in phases, starting with a soft launch to a focus group of interpreters and clients
  • Focus-group feedback worked into subsequent production releases
  • End-to-end browser test suite covering the platform's user flows
  • Security hardening sprints applied to authentication, payments, and audit logging
  • Structured change-request and bug intake so the client can steer each release

Practices carried into every build

Production from day one

Every demo runs in the same containerized environment the client will use in production.

Visible progress

Short cycles, milestone walkthroughs, and written status so the client always knows what shipped.

Tested flows

Automated backend tests and end-to-end browser tests for the paths users depend on.

Security standards

The same written engineering standards described on the security page apply to client builds.

Have a product to build?

Implementation conversations start from the product and the people who will use it. Scoping, deliverables, and price are agreed before work begins.
